Phlebotomist 4847
Join our team on a contract basis with the potential to secure a permanent role. This opportunity is based in Asheville, NC, with working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The initial contract is for three months with possible extension and additional perks offered. We seek a skilled professional with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in patient care by performing blood draws and other specimen collections with precision and care. You will be responsible for labeling and processing specimens according to established guidelines and ensuring they are stored and transported properly. Your critical eye for detail ensures accuracy in handling laboratory requisitions and test specimens.
Your ability to communicate clearly will help patients understand procedures such as venipuncture, while your knowledge of safety regulations ensures compliance with OSHA and DEP standards. You will also be expected to engage in annual training updates and handle inquiries efficiently by phone.
To qualify, you must hold a valid Phlebotomy certification (if required by state) and possess at least six months of experience in a high-pressure environment like a hospital or lab. Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office, and a high school diploma or GED are necessary for success.
