Benefits Director
This role involves managing the overarching operations of the benefits unit and fortifying client relations. It aims to provide efficient oversight of benefit offerings sponsored by our organization, ensuring the highest standards of operational quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with top management, client service professionals, and interdisciplinary teams to drive innovation, ease processes, and maintain regulatory adherence. This is a leadership position suitable for someone with a sharp analytical mind, excellent communication abilities, and robust relationship-building skills, capable of blending strategic vision with hands-on management. Key responsibilities include leading and nurturing the team, aligning with the company’s core values and goals, and performing regular performance assessments to guide staff improvement plans. The role also requires effective recruitment and onboarding of high-caliber talent, serving as an expert consultant for client benefit plans, and ensuring the seamless execution of initiatives like annual open enrollment and ACA compliance. Strong emphasis on compliance with regulations like ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA is essential. The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in benefits management, with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience and three years in leadership. This position, based remotely in Southern California, requires occasional travel to the office or client locations.
