Chief Inspector

Location: Olney, Texas

As the primary advocate for the customer, this role is pivotal in validating the airworthiness, compliance, and superior quality of aircraft before they are handed over to clients. The individual orchestrates the final quality checkpoint post-flightline operations, ensuring any discrepancies are detected, logged, and addressed before aircraft reach our customers. This position is crucial in minimizing Customer Concern Reports (CCRs) and fostering ongoing quality enhancements across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive, final checks on aircraft prior to customer handoff.
– Ensure full adherence to FAA standards, customer requirements, and internal policies.
– Act as the definitive decision-maker for aircraft quality certification.
– Track and report on defect trends and areas needing improvement.
– Keep and analyze data on aircraft delivery quality.
– Collaborate with Quality Engineering to address recurring defects.
– Participate in root cause analysis and suggest corrective measures.
– Provide insightful quality analytics for process advancements.
– Support audits by regulatory bodies and customers.

Qualifications:
– Possession of FAA A&P License is required; having an IA is advantageous.
– Over 10 years of expertise in aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, or inspection.
– In-depth understanding of FAA guidelines and inspection practices related to aircraft.
– Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards is desirable.
– Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
