Key Responsibilities:
Academic Excellence and Curriculum Innovation:
– Lead the continuous enhancement of the nursing curriculum, ensuring it reflects evolving healthcare trends and industry standards.
– Guarantee full adherence to all accreditation and state board requirements for nursing education programs.
– Participate in teaching and clinical/laboratory instruction when necessary, fostering a hands-on learning experience.
Operational Leadership and Faculty Development:
– Spearhead the hiring, mentoring, and evaluation processes for nursing faculty, ensuring a high caliber of academic staff and administration.
– Oversee departmental budgeting, efficiently allocating resources and nurturing clinical partnerships.
– Orchestrate faculty assemblies, curriculum development meetings, and advisory board engagements.
Fostering Student Achievement and Community Engagement:
– Track and bolster student enrollment figures, academic progress, and licensure success rates.
– Forge and sustain robust collaborations with clinical sites, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
– Support students in navigating academic challenges and pursuing educational goals.
Qualifications:
Educational Credentials:
– A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited educational institution is required.
Professional Experience:
– At least 2 years of documented teaching or instructional experience in a nursing academic or clinical setting.
– Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state is essential.
– Prior leadership, administrative, or supervisory experience in a nursing or educational setting is desired.
