We are seeking an experienced engineer to oversee highway and bridge projects in the Tampa area. In this position, you will work closely with project managers and onsite teams to manage various aspects of roadway, bridge, drainage, and infrastructure developments, primarily under the Florida Department of Transportation. Candidates in or willing to relocate to Tampa are encouraged to apply.

**Core Responsibilities:**
– Collaborate with the project management team and field supervisors on heavy civil assignments.
– Oversee RFIs, prepare submittals, facilitate drawing reviews, and ensure project documentation is accurate.
– Monitor cost, materials, equipment, and scheduling to ensure project targets are met.
– Coordinate daily operational tasks and material deliveries.
– Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and process change orders.
– Engage with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to ensure aligned objectives.
– Review technical drawings, specifications, and contractual agreements.
– Allocate 20-30% of time in field settings to oversee project implementation.
– Uphold safety standards, quality measures, and compliance with contractual obligations.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy civil, highway, or infrastructure engineering projects.
– Proficient in managing RFIs, documentation, cost control, and project scheduling.
– Competence in interpreting blueprint plans and contract documentation.
– A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an analogous discipline.
– Familiarity with FDOT or other DOT projects is advantageous.
– Skills in Primavera P6, HCSS, or Bluebeam software are beneficial.
– Holding an EIT or PE license is preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus.
