**Core Responsibilities**

**Therapeutic Implementation:** Deliver specialized pediatric interventions to drive motor skill enhancement and foster independence based on each child’s care plan.

**Skill Enrichment in Play-Based Settings:** Employ clinic facilities and sensory areas to boost functional skills in grasping, tool use (writing, cutting, eating), sensory processing, and gross motor abilities.

**Collaborative Engagement:** Partner with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary professionals like speech and physical therapists to provide comprehensive home programs, sensory strategies, and adaptive solutions.

**Documentation and Review:** Track and document progress towards goals, assist in session notes, and support the supervising therapist during routine re-evaluations and care plan revisions.

**Resource and Environment Management:** Handle and adjust clinic resources such as therapy swings, sensory aids, and adaptive tools to facilitate personalized treatment plans.

**Family Collaboration and Instruction:** Maintain open communication channels with families, offering insights into therapeutic exercises and providing useful strategies for home implementation.

**Qualifications**

– Diploma from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
– Active or eligible COTA licensure from the Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy.
– Valid NBCOT certification along with Pediatric CPR/First Aid credentials.
– Experience in pediatric clinical settings or early intervention is an advantage.
– Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a knack for innovative, play-based problem-solving aligned with child developmental milestones.
