This position will be pivotal in driving our organization’s supplier quality initiatives. The role involves creating a robust framework to enhance supplier performance by crafting systems to boost product quality and accountability, and initiating supplier recovery strategies to minimize costs associated with supplier-driven quality issues. Key duties include formulating and overseeing supplier quality procedures and evaluation tools, conducting supplier assessments, and implementing programs to foster supplier development and improvement. The role collaborates closely with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to refine supplier performance and analyze quality trends, aiming to facilitate impactful remedial actions. Additionally, this position involves active management of Supplier Corrective Action Requests and engagement in supplier risk assessments, with a considerable travel component, focusing on our most critical supplier relationships. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, the role will spearhead audits and assist suppliers in enhancing their quality processes, engaging with a diverse array of suppliers from boutique local entities to large-scale operations.
