Located in the heart of Addison, IL, this leadership role offers an exciting opportunity within a globally recognized manufacturer of precision tools and customized machinery. This position reports directly to the General Manager for North America and is ideal for those located in the Chicagoland area, as relocation assistance is not provided. Our operations cater to industries such as semiconductors, optics, and advanced materials, running an efficient and close-knit setup with about 15 staff members. Here, decisions are quick, direct, and impactful, with minimal corporate layers obstructing innovation and engagement. Our production environment is characterized by a low-volume, high-mix approach, focusing on creating unique machinery tailored to client needs. With the imminent transition to a modern facility and plans to expand our shifts, we seek a leader to oversee the seamless operations, inject organizational rigor, and drive tactical execution. Responsibilities encompass overseeing complete manufacturing processes, from machining to logistics, and developing strategies that enhance KPIs and continuous improvement. This role also mandates adept labor scheduling, facility management, safety assurance, and driving adherence to industry regulations. To qualify, the candidate should have substantial experience in manufacturing leadership, especially in environments necessitating tailored equipment or capital goods, and be adept in Lean Manufacturing and project-based operations. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, while additional experience with plant setups or scaling operations is preferred.
