Key Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
– Admission to practice before the USPTO is a necessity.
– Over three years of hands-on experience in drafting and prosecuting patents is essential.
– Demonstrated expertise in grasping intricate technical developments swiftly.
– Exceptional writing and oral communication competencies, particularly in crafting detailed patent documents.
– Previous involvement in a legal, engineering, or industry atmosphere is preferred.
Desirable Experience:
– Patent prosecution related to electrical or software engineering innovations.
– Experience with data science, AI, network security, and networking technologies.
– Familiarity with machine learning applications, AI extensions in data science, and hardware security.
Primary Duties:
– Prepare and manage patent applications with the USPTO.
– Perform assessments of patent feasibility and operational freedom.
– Partner with inventors and clientele to strategize on the protection of technological advancements.
– Support patent portfolio management and the development of strategic plans.
