We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a contract role with the possibility of permanent employment. Located in Oconomowoc, WI, this role operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, offering a dynamic work schedule for approximately three months, with potential for a longer term based on performance.
Essential responsibilities include mastering blood draws, specimen labeling, and utilizing centrifuge techniques. The role requires maintaining diligent records, ensuring accuracy in each specimen’s process from collection to storage, and clarifying procedures to patients in a respectful and clear manner. An understanding and execution of venipuncture using various techniques, matching lab forms accurately, and preparing specimens for transport are vital duties. Ensuring compliance with all physician orders and maintaining sample integrity through appropriate storage conditions are key aspects of this position.
The right candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED coupled with a minimum of 1-2 years of practical experience in phlebotomy. Benefits are available and the pay is competitive, ranging from $20 to $22 per hour, based on your wealth of experience.
