Sr Process Engineer
We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to become an integral part of an esteemed engineered-equipment manufacturer, offering a pathway to enhanced responsibilities in technical and engineering leadership. This role involves close collaboration with the Engineering Director to grasp our innovative technologies and professional practices.
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in chemical or process engineering with extensive hands-on experience in designing and supporting systems involving pressure, temperature, steam, gases, liquids, heat transfer, and advanced process controls.
The position demands direct interaction with clients, developmental leadership in processes, team-oriented collaboration, and troubleshooting expertise to drive engineering excellence.
**Primary Responsibilities**
– Partner with the Engineering Director to gain a deep understanding of our technological capabilities, equipment, and various customer applications.
– Engage with clients to discern their production methods, technical requirements, operational challenges, and desired outcomes.
– Transform customer needs and process dynamics into dependable, efficient, and safe equipment solutions.
– Conceptualize and develop technical specifications and system designs for custom-engineered machinery.
– Execute detailed engineering assessments related to pressure and thermal dynamics.
– Analyze and validate process-flow diagrams, P&IDs, instrumentation, and control strategies.
– Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering.
– Lead design evaluations, conduct risk assessments, and participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and startup.
– Diagnose and resolve issues pertaining to equipment and processes.
– Provide comprehensive technical support to stakeholders, including customers, manufacturing teams, and project groups.
– Ensure that engineering designs adhere to performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
– Advocate for excellence in engineering documentation and process enhancements.
– Contribute to the professional growth of engineering colleagues.
**Essential Qualifications**
– Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering fields such as Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
– Proven experience in process or applications engineering, focusing on industrial equipment.
– Mastery of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and advanced process controls.
– Proficiency in analyzing engineering drawings and system requirements.
– Adeptness in customer-focused technical solution development.
– Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
– A passion for evolving into a broader engineering leadership capacity.
