Electrical Field Service Specialist
The role involves spearheading the development and execution of maintenance strategies for electrical systems across several facilities. You will independently oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, offering your expertise to optimize system performance and ensure operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
– Maintain and troubleshoot complex industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment, including but not limited to substations, switchgear, protective relay systems, and high-power motors.
– Design, organize, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
– Lead initiatives in predictive maintenance utilizing advanced techniques such as IR Thermography and Power Quality Analysis.
This position balances office work with field duties and requires up to 20% travel within the country. Accessibility during non-standard hours is expected, and work may be conducted in varying weather conditions, potentially requiring elevation via ladders or lift equipment.
**Essential Qualifications**
– An Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or 5+ years in the maintenance of medium voltage electrical systems in an industrial setting.
– Solid experience in electrical industrial maintenance and familiarity with roles such as field service engineer, electrician, or project manager.
– Proficient in Preventive and Predictive maintenance, alongside effective communication and multitasking skills.
– Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and experience with CMMS systems.
**Preferred Qualifications**
– Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or experience equivalent to a Journeyman Electrician.
– Proven track record in medium voltage electrical systems, installation, and troubleshooting.
– Knowledge of industry standards, control systems, and experience with regulatory compliance.
